About
Built where the payments actually happen.
ZevPay Checkout is the payment gateway for African merchants, made in Lagos for merchants who sell to Africa. We build for the way people here already pay, then get out of the way.

// the counter · where checkout stops being a metaphor
Why we exist
Checkout was built for cards. Africa pays by transfer.
Every abandoned cart has the same story: a payment page designed for a card that the customer wasn't going to use. We started ZevPay Checkout to close that gap. Transfer-first checkout, virtual accounts that confirm in seconds, and a dashboard that treats the merchant as the customer too.
We're a small team that ships fast and answers support email ourselves. The product you see is the product we run.
How we build
Four rules we don't break.
01
Bank transfer first
Most Nigerian shoppers pay by transfer. We made it the default and built card and PayID around it, not the other way round.
02
Pay only when you get paid
No monthly fees, no setup costs, no minimums. If a naira doesn't reach you, we didn't earn anything either.
03
Settlement you can see
Pending payout is a number on your dashboard, not a mystery. You know what's owed before it lands in your bank.
04
Boring security
Signed webhooks, encrypted bank details, sandbox keys that can't touch real money. The exciting part should be your sales.
The ZevPay family
One rail. Three products.
Checkout is one door into the same money network. Merchants, businesses, and everyday senders all move value on the same ledger underneath.
